NEET UG Toppers’ Tips: ‘Why take stress, there is life beyond NEET and other exams

Meet Yashvi Garg, the remarkable young achiever who clinched the all-India rank 128 in NEET UG 2023, scoring a whopping 705 out of 720 marks. Currently pursuing her MBBS at ABVIMS and Dr RML Hospital, New Delhi, Yashvi’s journey to success is nothing short of inspiring.

Hailing from the vibrant lands of Rajasthan, Yashvi’s academic brilliance was evident right from her school days. With an impressive 95 percent in both her Class 10 and Class 12 exams from CBSE, she’s proven herself to be a consistent performer.

Yashvi’s passion for medicine blossomed early on, back in Class 10. Fuelled by her love for science and biology, she set her sights on becoming a doctor. In a candid chat with indianexpress.com, she opened up about her NEET UG preparation strategy.

So, how did she crack the NEET UG? Well, it all began in Class 11 with her enrollment in an offline coaching program at Allen Jaipur. Juggling classes four days a week, Yashvi diligently combed through NCERT textbooks, revised class material, and tackled important questions.

But Yashvi’s secret sauce? A meticulous approach to learning. She relied heavily on coaching materials, with NCERT books as her holy grail. As the exam drew closer, she amped up her game with multiple revisions and mock tests, all while maintaining a ‘mistake copy’ to track her errors and learn from them.

Despite the pressure, Yashvi remained unfazed. Stress wasn’t part of her equation. She focused on giving her best, trusting in her preparation, and knowing that there’s life beyond exams. With unwavering support from her parents, teachers, and mentors, she navigated her journey with confidence.

And what about balancing board exams and NEET UG prep simultaneously? For Yashvi, it was all about finding the rhythm. With overlapping syllabi and a knack for competitive exams, she sailed through effortlessly, even participating in National Talent Search exams and bio-olympiads along the way.

Yashvi’s story is a testament to grit, determination, and the power of staying true to your passions. As she continues her journey in medicine, she’s a shining example of what it means to dream big and work hard to turn those dreams into reality.

Do you think coaching is important to clear NEET UG with a good rank?

It’s fascinating how different paths lead to success, especially when it comes to cracking tough exams like NEET UG. Your insight into the coaching experience versus self-study is enlightening.

It’s true, some incredibly talented individuals manage to ace NEET UG without any coaching at all. Their sheer determination and self-discipline are commendable. But for many of us, having that structured guidance and support system that coaching provides can be a game-changer.

I get where you’re coming from. Coaching can streamline the whole preparation process and offer that much-needed roadmap. It’s like having a personal guide, steering you through the complexities of the syllabus and keeping you on track.

And you’re spot on about the motivation factor. Being surrounded by like-minded, driven individuals in a coaching environment can light a fire under you. That healthy competition and camaraderie push you to give it your all, day in and day out.

So, kudos to you for recognizing what works best for you and embracing it wholeheartedly. At the end of the day, it’s all about finding what fuels your drive and helps you reach your goals. Whether it’s through coaching or self-study, the key is staying focused, motivated, and believing in yourself. You’re doing great!

Life in ABVIMS and Dr RML Hospital, New Delhi

Choosing ABVIMS and Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi was a decision close to my heart, for several reasons. Firstly, being situated in the heart of Delhi, it stood out as one of the top colleges I was allocated during the counseling process. I saw it as a gateway to endless possibilities, offering a rich learning environment and promising ample opportunities for my future endeavors.

Stepping into ABVIMS and Dr. RML Hospital back in mid-2023 was a whirlwind of emotions – a new city, new faces, and my first taste of independent living away from my parents. It’s fair to say, it felt like diving into the unknown initially. But amidst the initial overwhelm, this college quickly wrapped its arms around me, making me feel right at home within just a few short months.

Now, it’s more than just an institution to me; it’s a sanctuary, a home away from home. The warmth of the faculty, the camaraderie among peers, and the vibrant energy of the campus have all contributed to creating a nurturing environment where I can thrive and grow both academically and personally.

Choosing ABVIMS and Dr. RML Hospital was not just a choice of education; it was a choice of belonging, forging lifelong connections, and embarking on a transformative journey. And as I navigate through this chapter of my life, I’m grateful for the sense of belonging and purpose that this institution has instilled in me.
